Zusammenfassung
Der Mensch ist durch seine fünf exterozeptiven Sinne auf eine multisensorische Wahrnehmung geprägt. Durch die zeitgleiche Informationsaufnahme durch visuelle, auditive, olfaktorische, haptische und gustatorische Reize, entsteht ein subjektives Abbild der Umwelt. Um optimal verarbeitet und gespeichert zu werden, sollten die eingehenden Informationen der einzelnen Sinneskanäle kongruent sein. Im Kontext der Live-Kommunikation bedeutet dies, dass die zu vermittelnden Botschaften und Erlebnisse multisensual geplant – also codiert – und über alle Sinne vermittelt werden sollten. In diesem Beitrag werden die Grundzüge der menschlichen Wahrnehmung, damit verbundene Effekte wie das Multisensory Enhancement sowie Planung und Durchführung einer multisensualen Kommunikation dargelegt. Im Speziellen wird auf die besondere Bedeutung im Messekontext sowie vor dem Hintergrund der digitalen Transformation und der Corona COVID-19 Pandemie reflektiert.
