Selbstwirksamkeit wird grundsätzlich als ein Merkmal beschrieben, das relativ gut durch Interventionen beeinflusst werden kann (Bandura, 2004; Hastall, 2010). Wie genau Gesundheitsprogramme und - informationen jedoch Selbstwirksamkeit erhöhen können, wird von der Mehrheit der motivationalen Modelle nicht erfasst (Bandura, 2004; Hagger & Chatzisarantis, 2007; Norman & Conner, 2015).
