Zusammenfassung
In den vergangenen nahezu drei Dekaden hat die Mobilkommunikation unser alltägliches Kommunikationsverhalten durch ihre rasche und umfassende weltweite Verbreitung tiefgreifend verändert. Seit 2017 nutzen weltweit mehr als 5 Milliarden Menschen mobile Kommunikationsdienste (GSMA Association, 2018), in Deutschland hat die Mobilfunkpenetration bereits 2006 die 100% überschritten, d.h. es gibt mehr Mobilfunkanschlüsse als Einwohner (Bundesnetzagentur für Elektrizität, Gas, Telekommunikation, Post und Eisenbahnen, 2009). Von mHealth-Anwendungen zum Selbstmanagement chronischer Krankheiten, über mobiles Banking bis hin zu mobilen Dating-Apps hat diese Entwicklung Einfluss auf die unterschiedlichsten Lebensbereiche genommen – und dies nicht nur in Industrienationen.
