Zusammenfassung
Die Kontrollillusion beschreibt den Irrglauben, etwas kontrollieren zu können, über das wir aber objektiv betrachtet überhaupt keine Macht haben. So entsteht beispielsweise der Spieler-Fehlschluss oder wir sind schlagartig überrascht, wenn die Zentralbanken den Zinssatz ändern oder sonstige externen Effekte eintreten. Der Begriff der Kontrollillusion wurde sehr anschaulich anhand des folgenden Experiments der Psychologin Ellen Langer erstmalig im Jahr 1975 geprägt.
