Zusammenfassung
Der Spielerfehlschluss (Gambler’s Fallacy) wird häufig auch „Monte Carlo Fehlschluss“ genannt, in Anlehnung an eine legendäre Situation im Casino de Monte Carlo am 18. August 1913. Hier fiel die Kugel des Roulettetischs bereits 24 Mal hintereinander auf Schwarz. Es versammelten sich natürlich immer mehr Leute um den Tisch herum und setzten alles auf Rot, denn „es war ja nur eine Frage der Zeit, bis Rot käme“ beziehungsweise „Rot war ja fällig“.
