Zusammenfassung
Implizit war die vorangegangene Kennzeichnung des Mittelstands anhand von definitorischen Merkmalen bereits von theoretischen Bezügen geprägt, ohne dass diese weiter ausgeführt wurden. Dieses Defizit soll im folgenden Abschnitt anhand von Theorien und Modellen beseitigt werden, die auf die quantitative und qualitative Dimension des Mittelstandsbegriffs Bezug nehmen.
