Zusammenfassung
Nach dem Scheitern der NPD 1969 konnte lange keine rechtsextremistische Partei mehr herausragende Wahlerfolge verbuchen. Dies änderte sich erst 1989 mit der Partei „Die Republikaner“ (REP). Zuvor hatte die „Deutsche Volksunion“ (DVU) regional Achtungserfolge erzielt.
