Zusammenfassung
Die Digitalisierung ist sowohl Herausforderung als auch Chance für den Wirtschaftsstandort Deutschland. Die Diskussion um die Veränderung der Arbeitswelt spricht neben Cyber-Physischen Systemen, dem Internet der Dinge und Dienstleistungen, Selbststeuerung und Mobilität auch gerne sehr abstrakt von einer „Nachhaltigkeit“ dieser Entwicklung. Unklar ist allerdings, welche Auswirkungen die Digitalisierung und die mit ihr verbundene vierte industrielle Revolution auf ökologische oder soziale Aspekte hat. Der vorliegende Beitrag geht dieser Problemstellung nach. Ziel ist die Identifikation von Potenzialen und Herausforderungen, die die Digitalisierung insbesondere im Bereich der Industrie 4.0 für ein nachhaltiges Wirtschaften mit sich bringt. Eine interdisziplinäre Betrachtung von Industrie 4.0 und Nachhaltigkeit befindet sich allerdings noch in den Anfängen.
