Zusammenfassung
Direktwerbeverweigerung von Konsumenten stellt eine grundlegende Herausforderung für ein erfolgreiches Direktmarketing von Unternehmen dar. Rund ein Fünftel aller Haushalte in Deutschland sind proaktive Direktwerbeverweigerer, die z. B. auf ihren Briefkästen einen „Bitte keine Werbung“-Aufkleber angebracht haben oder sogar in der „Robinsonliste“ eingetragen sind. Darüber hinaus gibt es eine große Anzahl von passiven Direktwerbeempfängern, die mit Nicht-Beachtung auf die an sie gerichteten Werbebotschaften reagieren. Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird ein Modell zu Determinanten der reaktiven / passiven und proaktiven Direktwerbeverweigerung auf der Grundlage konzeptionell-theoretischer Überlegungen erstellt, das am Beispiel von Werbebriefen im Rahmen einer Befragung von 230 Privatpersonen empirisch überprüft wird.
