Zusammenfassung
Im Jahre 1960 entwickelte Rudolf E. Kalman für zeitdiskrete, lineare Systeme ein spezielles Filter, mit dem es möglich war, aus verrauschten und teils redundanten Messungen die Zustände und Parameter des Systems zu schätzen. Der Vorteil dieses (Kalman-)Filters gegenüber anderen stochastischen Schätzverfahren ist der iterative Aufbau des Filters, der besonders für Echtzeitanwendungen geeignet ist.
