Zusammenfassung
Die beiden vorangegangenen Kapitel zeigten, dass sich eine Machtverschiebung anbahnt: Während Unternehmen im Industriezeitalter das Image ihrer Produkte, deren Weiterentwicklung, ihre Herstellung und ihren Verkauf kontrollieren konnten, greifen miteinander digital vernetzte Bürger in diese Bereiche zunehmend ein. Ihre Position wird dadurch eine stärkere. Eine wichtige Rolle spielt hierbei der 3D-Druck und zusätzlich spielt er eine weitere Rolle, welche viele Bürger in ihrer Rolle als Arbeitnehmer schwächen wird: Er macht Arbeitsplätze in großer Zahl redundant.
