Zusammenfassung
Die Kriterien, nach denen Landschaft als pittoresk, heimelig, romantisch oder auch ungemütlich eingestuft wird, sind zahlreich und stets vor einem soziokulturellen Hintergrund zu beurteilen. Landschaft als soziales Konstrukt definiert sich – wie der Begriff „soziales Konstrukt“ bereits induziert – über soziale Bedürfnisse. Hierbei spielt die soziale Erwünschtheit eine bedeutsame Rolle, denn Landschaften, die optimal konstruiert sind beantworten nicht nur die Nachfrage an diversen Versorgungseinrichtungen, sondern zudem den Wunsch nach Vollkommenheit. Dieser Anspruch schlägt sich einerseits in ästhetischen Vorstellungen nieder, wonach ganze Landschaftsbilder en détail konstruiert werden.
