Zusammenfassung
Direktdemokratische Verfahren und Traditionen weltweit wie in Europa sind vielgestaltig. Insofern ist es nicht verwunderlich, dass bisher viele Versuche einer Typologisierung unternommen worden sind, die auf unterschiedlichen Dimensionen klassifizieren (etwa konstitutionell oder funktional) und verschiedene Klassen und Einteilungen vorschlagen (vgl. Hornig und Kranenpohl 2014: 9; Vospernik 2014: 50). Sie können hier nicht vollumfänglich überblickt werden.
