Zusammenfassung
Führungsaufgaben sind in der heutigen Arbeitswelt so herausfordernd wie nie zuvor. Führungskräfte werden mit einem durch Volatilität, Unsicherheit, Komplexität und Ambiguität geprägten Geschäftsumfeld konfrontiert und und sind zugleich gefordert, mit den gestiegenen Erwartungen der Mitarbeitenden an Autonomie, Transparenz und Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten umzugehen. Die Besetzung von Führungspositionen mit kompetenten Personen ist erfolgsrelevant für Organisationen. Der vorliegende Beitrag ermöglicht einen forschungsbasierten Überblick, welche Kompetenzen in positivem Zusammenhang mit Führungserfolg stehen und bei der Führungskräfteauswahl berücksichtigt werden sollten. Anschließend wird differenziert erläutert, mit welchen Verfahren diese Kompetenzen in Auswahl- und Potenzialermittlungsverfahren erhoben werden können. Abschließend wird an einem konkreten Praxisbeispiel eines „Development Centers“ demonstriert, wie die Integration verschiedener Diagnoseverfahren es ermöglicht, ein umfassendes Bild über die erfolgsrelevanten Kompetenzen einer Führungskraft zu erhalten.
