Zusammenfassung
Ein wesentlicher Aspekt bei der Beschreibung des methodischen Vorgehens in der Strömungsmechanik besteht in der dimensionsanalytischen Betrachtung von Problemen. Dabei wird leider häufig unterschätzt, wie wichtig solche Überlegungen für das Verständnis strömungsmechanischer Zusammenhänge sowie für deren kompakte und möglichst allgemeingültige Darstellung sind. Mit der Dimensionsanalyse wird ein strömungsmechanisches Problem dimensionslos formuliert, indem alle Größen auf entsprechende charakteristische Größen des Problems bezogen werden.
