Die Infineon Technologies AG ist ein weltweit agierendes Unternehmen, welches durch eine Ausgliederung des Halbleitergeschäfts der Siemens AG im Jahr 1999 entstand. Im Geschäftsjahr 2014 berichtete das Unternehmen Umsatzerlöse von über 4,3 Millionen Euro bei rund 30.000 Mitarbeitern. Das Unternehmen bietet Produkte in den Bereichen Automotive, Industrial Power Control, Chip Card and Security und Power Management and Multimarket an (s. Abb. 5.1).
