Zusammenfassung
Der Beitrag nimmt die Objekthaftigkeit städtischer Infrastrukturen in den Blick und fragt danach, in welcher Weise die infrastrukturelle Materialität die soziale Dimension von Städten beeinflusst. Der Vorschlag lautet, die Infrastrukturen ausgehend von einer STS-informierten Perspektive als Akteure des Städtischen zu verstehen. Dabei untersucht der Beitrag die Herausbildung spezifischer Praktiken des Umgangs mit Infrastrukturen sowie die Art und Weise, wie physisch-materielle Infrastrukturen auf Praktiken im städtischen Raum wirken und wie diese Wirkungen gezielt genutzt werden können. Als Beispiele dienen Versuche, Verkehrs- und Entsorgungsinfrastrukturen zu modifizieren und darüber veränderte Praktiken zu etablieren.
