Zusammenfassung
Das Schlagwort der resilienten Stadt zieht international sowohl in der Wissenschaft als auch in der Praxis große Aufmerksamkeit auf sich. Durch die zunehmende Popularität des Begriffes der Resilienz und seine Verwendung scheint allerdings auch der Inhalt zu verwischen und der Begriff der Resilienten Stadt zu einer Art Container-Begriff zu werden, unter den sich beliebig viele Verständnisse fassen lassen. Innerhalb dieses Buchkapitels wird explizit auf die Diskussion um sozial-ökologische Resilienz und die entsprechende Forschungsperspektive Bezug genommen. Innerhalb dieser Perspektive steht die Diskussion zu urbaner Resilienz eher noch am Anfang. Es werden Möglichkeiten zur Operationalisierung aufgezeigt und die Anwendung auf Städte und Stadtregionen und daraus resultierende Herausforderungen erörtert. Der Beitrag schließt mit Ausführungen zu Einflussfaktoren und Ansatzpunkten für (planerische) Strategien zum Aufbau städtischer sozial-ökologischer Resilienz.
