Einfach und eingängig klingt das Mantra Muir Grays (1997). Natürlich, so sollte es sein, zum Wohle der Empfänger von Pflege- und Gesundheitsleistungen. Wie allzu oft in Medizin, Pflege und Gesundheitsversorgung bestätigt, können aber gut gemeinte und harmlos oder segensreich erscheinende Behandlungen in der Summe eher schädlich sein. Ethisch gefordert ist vor der Einführung einer (vermeintlichen) Innovation stets eine sorgsame Überprüfung des Nutzen-Schaden-Verhältnisses.
