Zusammenfassung
Franz Oppenheimer wurde am 30. März 1864 als drittes Kind des Predigers der jüdischen Reformgemeinde Dr. Julius Oppenheimer und der Lehrerin Antonie Oppenheimer, geb. Davidson, in Berlin geboren. Zu seinen Geschwistern zählten unter anderem der Biochemiker Carl Oppenheimer sowie die Schriftstellerin Paula Dehmel, die Frau des Dichters Richard Dehmel, der 1888 Oppenheimers Schwager wurde.2 Von 1870 bis 1881 besuchte Oppenheimer das Friedrichs-Gymnasium in Berlin und studierte anschließend in Freiburg und Berlin Medizin, wo er am 7. März 1885 bei Paul Ehrlich den medizinischen Doktorgrad erworben hatte und am 27.
