Zusammenfassung
Neue Medien der Information und der Kommunikation haben zu allen Zeiten Einfluss auf die Art und Weise genommen, wie politische Willensbildungs- und Entscheidungsprozesse in politischen Systemen funktionieren. Die digitalen Medien, insbesondere die sozialen Netzwerke, haben in den letzten Jahren eine zunehmend prominente Rolle gespielt und spielen sie noch: In Deutschland stehen hierfür das Beispiel „Stuttgart 21“, international die revolutionären Prozesse von Tunesien bis Ägypten.
