Zusammenfassung
In der Hindukultur verbinden sich Elemente von Religion, Philosophie, Wissenschaft und Rechtsprechung auf dem indischen Subkontinent über einen Zeitraum von ca. 4000 Jahren in immer neuen Variationen und wechselnden Strömungen. Einerseits besitzt sie aufgrund ihres fehlenden Dogmatismus eine große Flexibilität und Anpassungsfähigkeit, andererseits gibt es ein starkes Beharrungsvermögen, eine Art kontinuierliches Festhalten, welches alte und teilweise längst überholte Konzepte überdauern lässt.
