Zusammenfassung
In den vorangehenden Kapiteln wurden die Phänomene der Hypnose (Kap. 3), Spekulationen über ihr Wesen (Kap. 4 und 5) und einige physiologische Korrelate diskutiert (Kap. 6 und 7). Es bleibt etwas über die Herstellung der Trance zu sagen, insbesondere zur Technik ihrer Einleitung sowie zu Strategien der Nutzung. Man kőnnte von einer Kunst der Hypnose sprechen — aber auch jede Kunst erfordert Technik. Wenn man Hypnose als besonderen Zugang zur Informationsverarbeitung auf kognitiver, emotionaler und physiologischer Ebene begreift, so ergeben sich spezifische Ziele, die für diese Therapieform kennzeichnend sind.
