Zusammenfassung
Lediglich die brennbaren Gase sind nach ihrer Vermischung mit Luft verbrennungsfertig. Die flüssigen und festen Brennstoffe dagegen müssen zur Verbrennung in den gasförmigen Zustand überführt werden, d. h., sie werden nach ihrem Eintritt in den Brennraum zunächst verdampft bzw. vergast. Erst danach erreichen sie im Gemisch mit dem Sauerstoffträger und nach Erwärmung auf die Zündtemperatur die Verbrennungsreife.
