Zusammenfassung
Die Aufklärung und Zergliederung der Energieverluste, welche eine Schiffsschraube erleidet, ist bisher nur unvollkommen gelungen. Erschwert wird die Lösung der Aufgabe besonders dadurch, daß der von dem Schraubenpropeller erzeugte sogenannte Schraubenstrahl ein verwickeltes Strömungsgebilde darstellt, in welchem infolge der Mannigfaltigkeit der zu gleicher Zeit auftretenden Wirkungen nicht jede einzelne erkannt und in ihrer Größe bestimmt werden kann.
