Abstract
The EMI-Scanner apparatus has now definitely entered—in a rather triumphal way—in Neuroradiological routine. This apparatus, a computerized analyzer of the absorbed radiations, actually opens new prospects in Neuroradiology. We have no personal experience on it, since it is not yet operating in our Department; however its utility for the study of the ventricular system appears quite evident from the papers already published. It seems therefore fair to us to pay a dutyful homage to the inventor of EMI-Scanner, Ing. G. Hounsfield and to Drs. J. Ambrose and J. Bull, the neuroradiologists who have introduced and emphasized respectively the clinical utility of this valuable machine.
