Abstract

The cardiovascular system is a particulary interesting field of application for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In addition to defining cardiac morphology, this technique also provides data on cardiac function and on blood flow. Metabolic studies in vitro indicate that MR may also be useful for clinical assessment of the myocardium [4, 6, 45].
