Abstract
Conferences or seminars are used to combine three major elements: the presentation of the papers, the discussion and more formal or informal talks with colleagues on current research, and other matter. All three elements together determine the quality of a conference and its usefulness in the participants’ minds. As this book presents the essence of the conference to a greater audience, one faces the problem that it is indeed very easy to print or summarize the contributions, but it is very difficult to paint a complete picture of what was really going on with respect to at least the three elements mentioned above.
