Abstract
The development and relationships of the insect male reproductive system were reviewed in Chapter 2. In this Chapter the structure, function and regulation of the male accessory reproductive structures are discussed. As for the female system, the coverage will not consider the differentiation of the sex cells themselves, but concentrate on the role of the various adjunct cells and structures which contribute to the development, maintenance and transport of the sperm. The major emphasis will be on the male accessory glands.
