Abstract
This could have been either the first or, as it is, the last topical chapter. If it had been at the beginning the reader would have had a point of reference for the physiology discussed. Instead I chose it to be the culmination of all, to which previous chapters have been directed. That is to answer the question of how the internal workings of the animal make possible the way in which these divers hunt and make a living at sea.
