Summary
Three different shock boundary layer interaction flows are calculated. Two different computers codes are used on the same grid systems with identical initial conditions. The numerical schemes, which are both implicit, are due respectively to Beam and Warming and to MacCormack. The turbulence models are the algebraic models of Cebeci, Smith and Nosinski, Baldwin and Lomax and the k-ɛ two equation models. The performances of the numerical schemes are compared and a significant improvment is brought in with the two equation model.
