Abstract

The prevention of groundwater contamination is one of the most urgent tasks that a water system engineer must have in mind in all his projects. Rough approximations of the hydrological cycle have lead to the actual crise in global pollution due to local developments. Norms are the center element involved in the multicriteria decision process. Downward and upward movements of the water in the soils and the aquifer under unsaturated or satured conditions are discussed in the light of the modifications they infer.to the physico-chemical properties. Rainfall and évapotranspiration are the main estimates on which reliabilty efforts should be put. Regular field surveys of water quality in the springs help in the verification of the risks taken now for the long term.
