Zusammenfassung

Metastatische Absiedlungen auf den weichen Hirnhäuten sind beim Mammakarzinom eher eine Manifestation im Spätstadium der Erkrankung. Sie warden diagnostiziert bei etwa 5% der Patientinnen mit Mammakarzinom [24]. Bis zu 30% der Fälle werden allerdings festgestellt zu einem Zeitpunkt, wo noch keine anderen Metastasen vorliegen [23]. Von besonderer Bedeutung für die Therapie ist die Tatsache, daβ bei ca. 40% gleichzeitig Metastasen im Hirnparenchym und/oder eine Myelokompression vorliegen. Für die Applikation von Zytostatika in den Liquorraum ist von Bedeutung, daβ durch die meningeale Karzinomatose Liquorzirkulationsstörungen auftreten, die besonders gravierend sind bei gleichzeitiger Kompression des Rückenmarks.
