Zusammenfassung
Seit Cobb (1908, ausführliches Literaturverzeichnis wegen Raummangels auf Anfrage) ist bekannt, daß Baden zu Infekten der oberen Luftwege führen kann: akuter Otitis media oder Sinusitis paranasalis. Die einzige breite Untersuchung dazu an über 6000 Schülern hat ergeben, daß bei Gesunden im Vergleich zu solchen mit Infekten der Atemwege Vielschwimmer zu 16% überrepräsentiert waren (Gallagher 1948).
