Abstract
External symptoms as described in the previous section are reflections of disturbed cell metabolism leading to modifications in tissues, cells and cell organelles (anatomical deviations). Besides these histological and cytological abnormalities, virus-infected plants often show abnormal intracellular structures (inclusion bodies or inclusions).
