Zusammenfassung
Die Aorta ist, wie im vorhergehenden Kapitel bereits angedeutet, bei der sonographischen Untersuchung des Oberbauches das erste Organ, das man aufsucht und einstellt. Mediane Längsschnitte am liegenden Patienten zeigen die Aorta als tubuläre Struktur (Abb.4.1 und 4.2), deren Pulsationen sich im Real-time-Bild sehr schön verfolgen lassen. Sämtliche paraaortalen Gebilde, seien sie vaskulärer oder viszeraler Art, sieht man auf dem Bildschirm im Herzrhythmus auf- und abtanzen. Der Aortendurchmesser nimmt von der Eintrittsstelle in den Bauchraum bis zur Bifurkation, d. h. von BWK 12 bis LWK 4, gleichmäβig ab (Abb. 4.1). Es ist praktisch unmöglich, die Aortenhinterwand von der Wirbelsäule, auf der sie liegt, zu unterscheiden (Abb. 4.1 und 4.2).
