Abstract
Malignant hyperthermia (MH) has been extensively reviewed in the medical literature (Britt 1973, 1976; Furniss 1971). In spite of the wealth of readily available information, the condition unfortunately remains largely unknown to the majority of physicians. This may be because although information about MH in medical journals has been extensive, that in basic medical textbooks has been scanty. It is hoped that this review will help to bridge this gap.
