Abstract
It is the intention of these notes on anaesthesia to demonstrate safe, simple and effective anaesthesia methods, mainly used in developing countries, or in disaster situations, where anaesthesia is performed by medical assistants or auxiliaries. Therefore much emphasis is put on the demonstration of the half open, the half-closed and other cheap and simple anaesthetic methods. Usually anaesthesia is performed by the combination anaesthesia technique using an IV anaesthetic agent for a quick induction and maintenance of anaesthesia with an inhalation agent. Anaesthesia without intubation (no ideal method).
