Plant Tissue Culture and Its Bio-technological Application

Part of the book series: Proceedings in Life Sciences ((LIFE SCIENCES))

Abstract

Biotransformation of steroids by microorganisms as well as by plant cell cultures has found an increasing interest during the last years. Only little, however, is known about biotransformation of cardiac glycosides by plant cell cultures.
