Zusammenfassung
Die Wissenschaftsphilosophie, die in diesem Jahrhundert vor allem von den Empiristen in Gang gesetzt und später von ihnen, aber auch durch Vertreter anderer Richtungen weiterentwickelt worden ist, war rein systematisch orientiert. Die zunehmende Zuwendung zur Wissenschafts geschichte und zu den psychologischen und soziologischen Aspekten der wissenschaftlichen Tätigkeit hätte, so wäre zu erwarten gewesen, eine begrüßenswerte Ergänzung zur Wissenschaftslogik bringen und zugleich den Vertretern beider Disziplinen eine Fülle von wechselseitigen fruchtbaren Anregungen liefern sollen.
