Abstract
Part III of this volume is devoted to the analysis of EEG and EPs during cognitive processing in the brain. The higher functions of the central nervous system related to decision-making, memory, learning, surprise, and focused attention have belonged to the most important goals of EEG and EP analysis during the last 20 years. We will try to learn about these functions by analyzing EEG-EP dynamics with the methods and concepts introduced in Chap. 4 in Vol. I and already applied in Parts I and II.
