Zusammenfassung
Miniaturisierung bei gleichzeitiger Funktionsintegration ist weltweit ein zentrales Thema der Produktentwicklung in den unterschiedlichsten Anwendungsfeldern. Miniaturisierte Systeme umfassen Signalverarbeitung, Sensoren und/oder Aktoren auf kleinstem Raum. Durch die hohe Integrationsdichte werden funktionale und/oder kostenmäßige Vorteile erreicht. Ist das Gesamtsystem mit mikrotechnischen Methoden hergestellt oder haben wesentliche Strukturelemente Abmessungen im μm-Bereich spricht man auch von Mikro-systemen.
