Zusammenfassung
Die Berechtigung neurologischer Intensivmedizin für die klinische Praxis ist unumstritten, erfordert jedoch die kontinuierliche objektive Dokumentation und Interpretation bisher erzielter Behandlungsergebnisse. Die Weiterentwicklung und Verbreitung neurologisch intensivmedizinischer Konzepte ist nicht zuletzt wegen der damit verbundenen Kosten von der Bewertung meß-barer Behandlungsergebnisse abhängig. Zusätzlich gilt es, vorhandene Kapazitäten optimal zu nutzen und durch Analyse der Outcomes den zukünftigen Bedarf zu planen und vorhandene Strukturen zu verbessern.
