Zusammenfassung
Ein großer Teil von Glasfehlern, von Produktionsstörungen und von unerwünschten Glaseigenschaften wird durch den Einsatz nicht genügend reiner Rohstoffe oder durch ungünstige Rohstoffauswahl verursacht. Verschiedene Rohstoffe und ihre Beimengungen können sich einmal bei der Glasfabrikation als Fehler, wie durch Steinchen, Schlieren, Knoten, Blasen, Kristalle usw. auswirken, oder sie beeinflussen die Glaseigenschaften, wobei das Glas äußerlich völlig homogen und einwandfrei aussehen kann, die Eigenschaften sich jedoch beträchtlich verschoben haben können.
