Zusammenfassung
Das vorliegende Kapitel stellt eine Einführung in das Begriffssystem dar, das der Theorie von Intervallwahrscheinlichkeit zugrunde liegt. Außerdem unternimmt es eine Einordnung der hier vorgestellten Theorie in die Gesamtheit der Ansätze zur Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie und zu ihrer Weiterentwicklung über den Stand hinaus, der um die Mitte des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts als endgültig betrachtet wurde.
