Zusammenfassung
In den meisten Kliniken und Rehabilitationszentren wird vor allem Wert darauf gelegt, dem Patienten das Gehen wieder beizubringen und ihn darauf vorzubereiten, seinen Alltag unabhängig zu meistern. Folglich werden häufig Arm und Hand vernachlässigt und erfahren keine spezifische Behandlung zur Rückgewinnung funktioneller Fähigkeiten. Der Patient wird mit der Zeit immer geschickter, alles mit seiner gesunden Hand zu erledigen, und das Potential der betroffenen Hand bleibt unter Umständen unausgeschöpft.
