Abstract

Ureteral malformations are common malformations of differing degrees of severity. They are much more often found in young children or antenatally than in adults. Knowledge of normal and abnormal development of the ureter allows an understanding of the imaging findings. In this chapter, congenital anomalies of the uretero-pyelic junction will not be considered as true ureteral malformations.
