Im Rahmen eines Pilotprojektes wurde die Technologie Web Services in einer realen Systemumgebung von einem Rechenzentrum der Kreditwirtschaft und dem Autorenteam von IBM Global Services eingehend beleuchtet. Ziel war es, den Reifegrad der Web-Services-Technologie für einen produktiven Einsatz zu bestimmen und damit die Grundlage für weitere Investitionsentscheidungen zu schaffen.
