Zusammenfassung

Abweichend vom typischen Mechanismus eines Nervenkompressionssyndroms innerhalb eines Engpasses können tumoröse Veränderungen am oder im Nerv selbst oder anderweitige strukturelle Veränderungen des Nervs zu einer Schmerzsymptomatik oder Funktionsstörung führen. In der Regel kann bei den weithin unbekannten und häufig erst spät diagnostizierten Krankheitsbildern durch einen operativen Eingriff Beschwerdefreiheit erreicht werden. Es handelt sich um intra- und extraneurale Ganglien, Schwannome/Neurofibrome, die für den Patienten sehr quälenden (vorzugsweise subungualen) Glomustumoren, und die bisher ätiologisch noch strittigen Faszikeltorsionen.
