Zusammenfassung
Herz-Kreislauf-Erkrankungen stellen in der westlichen Welt die häufigste Todesursache dar. Unter den kardiovaskulären Risikofaktoren nimmt vor allen Dingen die Prävalenz des Diabetes mellitus, der Dyslipidämie und des übergewichtes stetig zu. Die Primärprävention dieser Risikofaktoren ist daher in der klinischen Praxis von besonderer Bedeutung.
